SLATS 2055 Transportation Survey
Dear Stateline Area Resident,
We are requesting your participation in the Stateline Area Transportation Study (SLATS) Visioning Survey. Your input is essential to help shape the future of transportation in our region.
SLATS is the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Beloit urbanized area (as defined by the US Census Bureau). The SLATS metropolitan planning area spans the Wisconsin and Illinois state line and includes portions of:
- City of Beloit
- Town of Beloit
- Town of Turtle
- Rock County, Wisconsin
- City of South Beloit
- Village of Rockton
- Rockton Township
- Winnebago County, Illinois
Whether you drive, bike, walk, or take transit – transportation affects all of us every day. It also supports local businesses and regional economy by keeping goods and services moving efficiently.
This survey asks you to consider multimodal transportation needs through the year 2055. In responding, please consider all travel modes/facilities and all roads – local/city streets, county roads, state highways, and interstates – within the SLATS study area.
Your feedback will help guide the development of the SLATS 2055 Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). The LRTP identifies future year needs and multimodal improvements. It is a federal requirement to update the LRTP every five years, and public input is critical to the planning process.
The survey is anonymous and is being conducted by ETC Institute, an independent research firm. After the study ends, all data will be securely destroyed – your information will not be sold or used for any other purpose.
As a way to say thank you, at the end of the survey, you will have the opportunity to opt-in to a drawing for a chance to win one (1) $250 prepaid Visa gift card for fully completing your survey.
If you have any questions, please contact Ryan Murray toll-free at (888) 801-5368.
